General

Remia CV (Remia) considers the protection of personal privacy to be of great importance. Personal details are handled and secured with the greatest possible care.

Personal details are all details that can be used to identify a specific person directly or indirectly. You are not obliged to provide Remia with the personal details that we request but if you decide not to provide these, we may not be able to show you or to give you a good idea of the products and services that we can offer you. We wish to inform you about our new products and services but we need to ask your permission for this.

Remia can collect personal details from various information sources, namely:

  • Personal details that you provide us with directly
  • Personal details that we collect automatically
  • Personal details that we collect from other sources

When you visit our websites, characteristics of your retrievals can be maintained in logfiles on our servers. These details are only kept for statistical analyses over a limited period. The details that you leave via forms are kept for strictly necessary purposes and not in order to send you offers or other messages without your permission. Websites are set up according to the principles “privacy by design” and “privacy by default”.

Details can be stored for each website page that you visit such as via Google Analytics. Details that are held can include among others, URL, IP, time, user agent, browser type, screen size. No check is carried out as to who, what IP number is used or when and we do not trace these details to you.

Cookies

Remia’s websites use so-called “cookies” (a cookie is a small file that is sent by an Internet server and that installs itself on your computer’s hard drive. This file retains traces of the website visited and includes a number of details from this visit). Cookies are used in particular to remember certain settings for a following website visit or in order to transfer some details required for the functioning of our websites from one page to the next. Cookies are not used on Remia websites in order to store name, address, postcode, place of residence, telephone number or e-mail address. Most browsers accept cookies automatically with the standard settings but you can normally refuse cookies or accept them selectively by adjusting the settings on your browser. Certain functions of our websites may not be available if you switch cookies off.

Google Analytics

The Remia websites may use Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies in order to help Remia to analyse how consumers use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google from Google. Google uses this information to keep track of how you use the website, to compile reports on website activity for website operators and to offer other services relating to website activity and Internet use. Google may provide third parties with this information if legally obliged to do so or if these third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not combine your IP address with other details that Google has. By using this website, you give your permission for processing the information by Google in the manner and for the purposes described.

Security

Remia has taken suitable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal details against loss or any form of unlawful processing.

Provision to third parties

Remia can use the services of third parties in order to process your details in accordance with the Privacy Statement. These third parties appear as processor for Remia whereby Remia ensures that these parties offer sufficient guarantees regarding the technical and organizational security measures. Third parties acting as processors for Remia have concluded a processor’s agreement with Remia, which stipulates among other things that they will only process personal details on Remia’s behalf.

Remia will only send personal details to third parties with your prior permission or if Remia is obliged to do so based on legislation and regulations.

Transmission outside Europe

Your personal details will only be stored by Remia or third parties engaged by Remia or processed outside the European Economic Area (“the EEA”) if this is in keeping with the current regulations for transferring personal details to countries outside the EEA.

Retention periods

Personal details must not be retained for longer than is necessary. The retention period depends on the purpose and the legal conditions in this regard for which Remia has collected the details.

Your rights

You are entitled to be informed and to request Remia to allow you to view, correct and/or add to your personal details. You are also entitled under certain circumstances to the transferability of details, to be forgotten, to limited processing of your personal details and the right to complain. You are also entitled to withdraw your permission. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory body as to the manner in which we process your personal details.

We cannot however check whether a visitor is older than 16 years old. We advise legal guardians to be involved in their children’s online activities in order to prevent details on children from being collected without parental consent. Objection may be made at any time to use of personal details for direct marketing purposes and/or the (continued) receipt of (certain) marketing information by forwarding this request in writing to:

There is also an unsubscribe function in the e-mails that we send you via the e-mail service as well as in other marketing information that we send. If you use this, you will not receive any more similar messages. You cannot unsubscribe from information messages. Please take into account that your change will take effect as soon as possible; Remia cannot rule out your request for a change crossing with an invitation already sent but it will do its best to prevent this.
